Academy Basketball Inc is a "not for profit" incorporated association based in the Darling Downs region of Queensland. The organisation includes a growing number of affiliated associations and clubs working together under one brand to grow the sport of basketball in regional and rural areas of Queensland.

Academy's primary objective is to increase junior participation rates by offering affordable access to a range of activities including local competitions, carnivals, camps and developmental programs. Academy Basketball Inc offers management and operational support for affiliated associations, as well as access to developmental resources drawn from a pool of former USA players residing in Australia.

Development Programs and Activities include:

- Shooting Stars: an introductory skills program for early school age children 6-10 years old.
- In-school clinics
- After school coaching and training
- School holiday camps
- Basketball Supercamps (in conjunction with SuperCamp)

Ag Requirements Regional Basketball League
A home and away senior representative league for Academy Basketball Affiliated Clubs and Associations in the Darling Downs.

Junior Regional League
A representative level league for Academy Basketball Affiliated Clubs and Associations based in the Darling Downs.

Darling Downs Junior Challenge
An open junior championship event held at Gatton Qld each year
